The Other China Flash Point

The South China Sea is a critical global flashpoint where Chinese aggression against the Philippines risks a U.S. military confrontation. Unlike Taiwan, this region lacks de-escalation protocols. To prevent war, Washington must strengthen Southeast Asian defense capabilities, clarify alliance commitments, and establish firm redlines through direct diplomacy with Beijing.
