Despite claims of unprecedented precision, empirical reality, including the reported deaths of around 1,700 civilians in Iran and CENTCOM generating 1,000 targets per hour, calls this narrative into question. AI integration accelerates the normalization and expansion of organized violence, reconfiguring international humanitarian law's proportionality calculus and expanding target categories through data-driven associations. The opacity of "black box" AI systems undermines accountability and trust, contributing to moral injury for operators. Data biases, incompleteness, and adversarial manipulation further compromise precision. Warification lowers the threshold for force, expands legitimate targets, and risks normalizing perpetual violence, eroding the multilateral legal order.
