Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan (IMP), an umbrella alliance established on April 11, 2025, is actively escalating kinetic operations against state security forces across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Comprising the Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group, Harakat Inqilab-e-Islami Pakistan, and Lashkar-e-Islam, the coalition executes coordinated suicide strikes, convoy ambushes, and quadcopter drone attacks carrying explosive payloads.
This operational integration resolves historical fragmentation among tribal militant factions while avoiding foreign fighter recruitment to maintain functional alignment with the Afghan Taliban. Operating four suicide camps, the alliance claimed over 90 attacks in July 2025 alone, including a June 28 suicide strike in Mir Ali that killed 13 security personnel. Internal friction within the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan—marked by armed clashes with Jamaat-ul-Ahrar—is accelerating the realignment of disgruntled commanders toward IMP’s unified banner. Through its official propaganda arm, Sada-e-Haq, the group combines anti-imperialist narratives with technical adaptation, establishing a resilient network that significantly alters regional security dynamics.
